It was more than ten years ago. Nike had gone all out by releasing a range of Kobe 9 including this “Elite Low Protro Halo” on the occasion of the return to the courts of Kobe Bryant for the 2014-2015 season, after his ruptured Achilles tendon against the Warriors, followed by a serious knee injury, contracted against the Grizzlies.
Ten years later, and while the family of the late Kobe has made peace with Nike, this 9th signature model is creating a stir by making its big comeback today. We find the upper in “Flyknit”, a big first at the time, in a colorway here exclusively white. A slight touch of black appears at the level of the midsole, resting on a white rubber sole. The logo and signature of Kobe Bryant are present on the tongue, also in white.
The “Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro Halo” has been released in “Early Access” for MVP customers of Basket4Ballers. Good news, it is now available to everyone, at a price of 210 euros.
