The first audiences for the NBA playoffs have fallen, and they are generally at the level of those of last year. The matches of the 2024 campaign broadcast on ABC, ESPN, TNT, truTV and NBA TV until Sunday were followed by 3.17 million viewers on average, a drop of around 6% compared to last year.
The best audience was thus achieved by Game 4 between the Lakers and the Nuggets, with 5.67 million viewers and 3% market share, LeBron James' troop still being widely followed on the small screen. Behind, we find Game 4 between the Clippers and the Mavericks, with 5.56 million viewers and Game 4 between the Knicks and the Sixers, with 4.65 million viewers.
For broadcasters, the absence of Stephen Curry's Warriors, who always offer good audiences, and the rapid elimination of the Lakers, are in any case not good news.
Nor the fact that apart from the series between the Mavs and the Clippers, the duels in the West have not dragged on…
