Before leaving for China to continue his progress at his own pace, tacko fallwho signed up with the Nanjing Monkey Kings, brought up the case Victor Wembanyamadestined to become one of the main attractions of the league in the near future.
The two players participated in the Summer League in Las Vegas but did not have the opportunity to meet. The meeting would have looked like a clash of titans between two forces of nature since the two players culminate beyond 2m20.
“That would be really strange. It would feel weird to be able to look someone in the eye.”, told Tacko Fall with a smile to Shams Charania. “I have a bump in my neck from having to lower my head to talk to people. So finally being able to talk face to face would be great.”
“I’m not at the same level but I understand what it’s like to be so big”
The Senegalese pivot then confided all the good he thought of Victor Wembanyama, he who faced the same problems of adaptation related to his height. If he failed in his quest for success in the NBA, he sees “Wemby” able to meet the challenge.
“I think he’s a great kid. I really like how it handles. His first Summer League game was a little tough, but there’s a lot of pressure on his shoulders. He’s barely made it into the league, he’s got a lot of talent. I think he will have a great future for a player of his size.” he added. “I kind of get it. I’m not at the same level but I understand what it’s like to be that big and to be able to move like he does, do what he does, it’s really impressive”.
