With Bob Myers gone, Mike Dunleavy Jr. took over as GM of the Warriors. A delicate succession because his predecessor built a dynasty in Golden State, but which is part of a lineage.

The superstars are Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and the rockstars are the complementary players like Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston and Kevon Looney. You have to have both, that’s the key.”
Mike Dunleavy Jr. recalls that he has an extremely valuable weapon, namely the continuity of his major trio (Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green). The three men have in fact been playing together since 2012, know each other by heart and have formed the basis of the franchise project ever since, and therefore of recruitment.
“Some nights Chris Paul will be a great complement to the guys we have and other nights he will be the driving force behind what we do.”
