Holder of a “two-way contract”, Neemias Queta had to prove himself in Boston. Especially after his very timid start to his career with the Kings. He fulfilled this mission perfectly during the preseason.
In three games, he averaged 9.6 points and 4.6 rebounds in just 12 minutes. And even more remarkable: he displays a whopping 86% shooting success. It’s simple, he only missed two shots in 15 attempts. He does simple things, but does them well.
“I have the feeling of being consistent in my efforts in the racket”assures Neemias Queta, after his 12 points and 7 rebounds against the Hornets, for NBC Sports. “I want to be as regular as possible in my role. I want to help this team win matches. »
The former Kings could well become an interesting option for Joe Mazzulla, to compensate (a little) for the departure of Robert Williams III. The coach seemed to be banking on Luke Kornet, but Neemias Queta has the profile to take over the role, especially on the offensive rebound.
“The vibes are very positive”he continues. “The guys are playing for each other, I’m excited to be in this environment, to be a Celtic. We just want to win matches and have fun too. »
