Successful operation for Steven Adams

“I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. Gratitude “.

It is through this message, accompanied by a photo of him from his hospital room, thumbs up and with a big smile, that Steven Adams gave his news via his account Instagram. The Grizzlies pivot underwent successful surgery on Wednesday on the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

The “Kiwi” had been hampered since January, which had already cost him a premature end to the season in 2022/23. In agreement with the medical staff, he opted for rehabilitation without going through surgery, and thus made his return to pre-season at the beginning of October, before finally deciding to have surgery, around ten days later.

This is relatively good news for the Grizzlies, because Steven Adams remains out until the end of the season and will now begin a long recovery.

His absence has cost Memphis a lot since January, added to that of Brandon Clarke. Xavier Tillman was recently added to the list due to knee pain, thus propelling newcomer Bismack Biyombo into Taylor Jenkins’ major five last Sunday, against Portland, and again tonight against Miami.
