Steve Kerr Quotes Stephen Curry at Democratic Convention

The Democratic Party has been holding its convention at the United Center in Chicago since Monday, and it's an opportunity for Joe Biden to say his goodbyes and hand over to Kamala Harris, nominated by the Democrats to face Donald Trump in the November presidential election. Among the personalities who spoke, there was Steve Kerr!

The Warriors and Team USA coach has always attacked Trump's policies, and he gladly accepted the invitation from the Democratic camp. The organizers had done things well since Kerr took the stage to the sound of “Sirius”, the Alan Parsons Project song that has always accompanied the Bulls.

“It's so nice to be back at the United Center. As you know, a lot of cool things happened here, especially in the '90s.” he launched. “The younger ones among you, I'll let you type “Michael Jordan on Google…”

“In the words of the great Stephen Curry…”

Then he explained why he really believed in the Harris-Walz ticket.

“The joy, the compassion, the commitment to our country that we saw at the Olympics, that’s what Kamala Harris and Tim Walz share, and that’s what our country needs.”Mr Kerr said. “They have leadership, real leadership, not the kind that seeks to divide us, but the kind that recognizes and celebrates our common purpose. I believe in a certain kind of leadership. I believe leaders must have dignity. I believe leaders must tell the truth. I believe leaders must be able to laugh at themselves. I believe leaders must care about and love the people they lead.”

Then, true to form, Kerr ended with a pirouette, taking inspiration from Stephen Curry's “Night Night” celebration, which he also supported Kamala Harris. “After the results were counted [le soir de l’élection]we will be able, in the words of the great Steph Curry, to say to Donald Trump: “Night Night!”
