Very popular in China, Stephen Curry will take it a step further. The Warriors point guard will be in Asia next week to promote the Curry 12 at Under Armour.
But above all, a “Curry Brand” store will soon be opening in Chengdu, a city of 18 million inhabitants in the heart of China. “Basketball is everywhere and we want to be everywhere”, summary Stephen Curry on this store dedicated to his brand.
“I'm very excited about what this means, not only here in the United States, but internationally for people to know what this logo means, what it represents, what the Curry brand means.”continues the 2024 Olympic champion.
While we will obviously find Stephen Curry-related products, will other Under Armour products be sold there? Those of De'Aaron Fox for example, who joined Curry Brand in 2023, and who accompanies the All-Star during his tour in Asia. We don't have the answer to this question yet.
The four-time NBA champion joins a group of athletes who have had their own store. Examples include Tom Brady in Boston, LeBron James at home in Akron, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, who with his brothers has three stores selling “Antetokounbros” products: two in Athens, Greece, and one in Milwaukee.
