Stephen Curry launches his own whiskey

Stephen Curry take advantage of these summers to explore other passions. After having worked to promote reading and education, defended gender equity in the world of sport, or put forward his passion for golf, here he is back in the world of alcohol, like LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Tony Parker or even CJ McCollum.

While he has already produced a Sauvignon Blanc (whose stock is now exhausted), the leader will now launch his own brand of whisky, Bourbon more precisely (made from at least 51% corn). Called the “Gentleman’s Cut Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey”, this whiskey was bottled in Kentucky in collaboration with the owner of the winery “Amuse Bouche Winery” and the distillery “Boone County Distilling Co”, based in Boone.

Drink in moderation

As he explained in the presentation press release for his new nugget, Bourbon is for him synonymous with celebration and success, in addition to paying homage to American tradition.

“Celebrations take many forms, from intimate get-togethers to milestones, and at the center of every memorable moment is a spirit rooted in history and tradition,” did he declare. “I am proud to have contributed to the careful development of a new Kentucky straight bourbon, the Gentleman’s Cut. This rich, complex and bold bourbon is perfect for commemorating life’s great occasions, and will be part of the celebratory moments of my fans, friends and family.”

The ‘Gentleman’s Cut’ was aged for five to seven years in new, charred white oak barrels, giving it notes of cinnamon, toasted caramel and toasted chestnut.

“Working closely with Stephen, we have produced a high-quality, value-priced aged bourbon that will resonate with bourbon enthusiasts and help grow the craft bourbon category with our global audience”said Mr. Schwartz, owner of Amuse Bouche Winery.

The bottle will be sold for $79.99 at the Boone County Distilling gift shop and should then be marketed nationally by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits.
