Stephen Curry at the 2024 Paris Olympics to complete his CV?

Will Team USA show up with a Dream Team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games? Reigning Olympic champion after his victory against the Blues in the final almost two years ago in Tokyo, the American team could be led by Stephen Curry even if nothing is decided yet, the USA should already do well at the next World Cup, which begins in five weeks.

Nevertheless, Stephen Curry took advantage of a question from Malika Andrews on the subject to position himself favorably. The reasons are not lacking, between the presence of Steve Kerr, his coach at the Warriors at the head of the selection, and the prospect of winning the competition for the first time in his career.

He still misses an Olympic gold medal, had notably slipped Steve Kerr in a tone of fun, after the title won by Golden State in 2022.

“That’s the one line on my resume that Steve Kerr likes to joke about, that I don’t have an Olympic gold medal,” confirmed Stephen Curry. “So he is already trying to recruit me for next summer. But I will already support the guys who are going to the World Cup this year. I know they are going to represent USA well and they are going to bring home the gold. I have no idea what next summer will be like, but obviously having Coach Kerr leading this mission is an added bonus, and I would love to play for him. So we’ll see how it turns out when the summer of 2024 rolls around.”

Several other superstars could face the same dilemma, with the opportunity to play the Olympics one last time in their careers. We can notably think of a LeBron James, even if, unlike a Stephen Curry, the “King” has already won two Olympic gold medals, in 2008 and 2012.
