Stats & Highlights | Trae Young and Karl-Anthony Towns were hot, the Bulls struggling
March 15, 2022
Trae Young is very hot. For the second time in two days, he exceeds 40 points (46) and the Hawks continue to win, with a third success in a row. Charlotte also won and the Hornets are behind Georgia players in the standings. The two teams follow each other, in ninth and tenth place.
For the Bulls, it’s much harder. They are on six defeats in eight matches. Like the Spurs, who are on seven losses in nine games.
Cleveland–LA Clippers Philadelphia–Denver Golden State–Washington Utah–Milwaukee LA Lakers–Toronto
Atlanta–Portland: 122-113
All was well for the Blazers. The Hawks were clumsy and after leading by nine points at the break, the Portland players had started the second period with a 6-0. Except that Trae Young woke up (46 points) and took everything with him.
The point guard begins by registering eight straight points, then 17 of Atlanta’s next 19 points. With his 21 points in this third quarter, he overturned the game. Atlanta moved ahead and Portland responded with a 10-0 to come back. Kevin Huerter clears the danger with a winning shot and the Hawks win.

Oklahoma City–Charlotte: 116-134
The Hornets struggled to get going offensively. So that the Thunder had an 18-point lead at the start of the second quarter. To sound the revolt, Isaiah Thomas put a 4/4 behind the arc, and Charlotte is in front at the break.
Back from the locker room, LaMelo Ball takes control. He scored 14 points in this third quarter and the Thunder no longer has the answers. The gap grew again in the last act and James Borrego’s players won without difficulty.

San Antonio–Minnesota: 139-149
Both teams didn’t really want to defend and Karl-Anthony Towns took advantage of this, scoring 60 points! The interior hurt from the first quarter with 14 points and even more in the third: 32 units!
The Spurs had resisted well until then, but when they returned from the locker room, the Wolves will make the difference, with a 16-7. San Antonio will not be able to shake up Minnesota and Karl-Anthony Towns will return to the floor late in the game to conclude his career record.

Sacramento–Chicago: 112-103
The Bulls are tough. Authors of a missed first half, they join the locker room 20 points behind. Luckily for them, DeMar DeRozan kicks them off with seven points in four minutes in the second half.
The gap no longer exists, but the Chicago players can’t find the key to get ahead. Coby White misses an important shot, De’Aaron Fox and Donte DiVincenzo penalize on the other side. These two will have a firm hand on the free throw line in the final seconds to ensure the success of the Californians.
