Stats & Highlights | The Rockets and the Magic continue without difficulty

Alperen Sengun can be jubilant. Despite his absence, the Rockets continue to win. Last night, they had no difficulty in winning against the worst team in the league, the Wizards. After a very competitive first period, the Texans exploded the opponent's defense in the third quarter, ending the period with a 25-6 lead.

Jalen Green took advantage of the opportunity to tie his career high with 42 points (with 10 rebounds), while the rookie Amen Thompson also had a big game (25 points and 10 rebounds). This is the 6th victory in a row for the Rockets (33v-35d), which makes them the fittest team in the league tied with the Celtics.

In 11th place in their conference, the Texans have only two wins less than the Warriors, last qualified for the play-in… Reverse dynamic for the Wizards (11v-58d), deprived Kyle Kuzma, Deni Avdija, Tyus Jones and Bilal Coulibaly last night, who lost a 5th match in a row.

Another young team in full swing, in the opposite conference, the Magic won even more easily against the Hornets, on the basis of a fiery first period (67-32!). Cole Anthony scored 17 of his 21 points in the second quarter and finished as the top scorer in his team, whose scoring was well distributed. The leader was also the only one on his team to shoot more than 10 times.

The Magic (41v-28d) won a 4th victory in a row and ensured at least qualification for the final stages in the East. Still fighting with the Knicks for 4th place, the Floridians are guaranteed not to end up with a negative record for the first time since 2019.

We set out to play our best basketball in March and April, and that's what we will continue to do “, comments Jamahl Mosley whose team has won 12 of its last 15 games. The Hornets (17v-52d) are firmly “clinging on” to their 13th place in the East.
