Stats & Highlights | The Pacers in the quarterfinals of the NBA tournament
November 22, 2023
After this new evening of the “In-Season Tournament”, we already know two qualified for the quarter-finals, and they are the Lakers in the West, and the Pacers in the East. Tyrese Haliburton’s teammates won 157-152 against the Hawks, with Buddy Hield decisive in the last minute with a 3-pointer, and the lay-up at the buzzer. The referees also played an essential role with this offensive foul called against Dejounte Murray on his 3-point attempt to equalize.
The Pacers and the Hawks set the season points record, without overtime! This victory above all allows Indiana to be the first qualified, in the East, for the quarter-finals of the NBA tournament.
Still in the East, the Magic confirms its very good start to the season with an easy success against the Raptors. Once again, it was through their aggressiveness in defense that Paolo Banchero’s teammates made the difference. Jalen Suggs leads by example, and it’s contagious with 12 interceptions and 8 blocks. Opposite, Dennis Schroder’s partners are skillful (50% on shots and 3-pointers) but they shoot 25 fewer shots, and lose 23 balls!
