Stats & Highlights | The Cavaliers overthrow the Pacers, the Jazz dismiss the Magic | NBA
February 12, 2022
Caris LeVert was already reunited with his old team in a duel with the “new look” Pacers. The Cleveland winger was decisive late in the game and the Cavaliers’ streak continues: four straight wins and a second place finish in the East.
On the Utah side, the match against Orlando was far from perfect, but the essential is there too: fifth success in a row.
Detroit–Charlotte Philadelphia–Oklahoma City Atlanta–San Antonio Boston–Denver Chicago–Minnesota
Indiana–Cleveland: 113-120
The Pacers showed a new face with Tyrese Haliburton and it almost turned into a victory. For his first game with his new team, the former Kings scored 23 points and in the first quarter, Indiana was on fire with 47 points and a 10/12 at 3-pts! Except that the Cavaliers have also changed lately and the Pacers know it better than anyone.
The players of JB Bickerstaff go up this gap of 21 points observed in the second act thanks to their defense already, each lost ball of the men of Rick Carlisle being well exploited. Then because Caris LeVert, formerly of Indiana, was excellent at the end of the game. It was he who chained the baskets in the “money time” to give victory to a Cleveland team yet deprived of Darius Garland, hit in the back.

Utah-Orlando: 114-99
Without being flamboyant in attack, it was in defense that the Jazz built their victory. At the start of the match, Donovan Mitchell and company went 17-0 to take a 17-point lead. From the first moments of this game, the Magic is stifled.
Over the minutes, Orlando regains efficiency, with an 11-3 carried by Jalen Suggs. Utah has few solutions in attack, with long minutes without a basket, but with its defense, the gap is kept until the break. Back from the locker room, the Magic managed to come back but with winning shots, the Jazz dismissed them for the first time. Finally, in the last quarter, a new effort with in particular Udoka Azubuike and a fatal 18-9, to validate this fifth victory in a row.
