Stats & Highlights | The Blazers surprise, the Pelicans stall
November 28, 2023
After wasting a 26-point lead against the Bucks on Sunday evening, the Blazers could have gambled on the Pacers floor. Quite the opposite is happening as Deandre Ayton’s teammates win in Indianapolis!
Alongside Ayton and a great Jerami Grant, it was Malcolm Brogdon who made the difference, and the best 6th man in the NBA scored the winning basket. For Rick Carlisle, his players already have the lead in the quarter-finals of the NBA tournament, and this perhaps explains the 20 lost balls and the 8 of 33 3-pointers.
Despite the return of Zion Williamson, absent from the first round, the Pelicans lost again on the Jazz floor. It’s the amazing rookie Keyonte George who is causing them trouble.
Particularly in the “money time” where he scored the 3-pointer which gave a seven-point lead three minutes from the end (114-107). Herb Jones will maintain the suspense until the end, but the Pelicans will never manage to equalize, with three failures in a row. This is the 5th victory in a row for the Jazz against the players from New Orleans.
