Stats & Highlights | Spurs and Suns rise to top of West, easy night for Celtics
October 31, 2022
Bradley Beal stuck in an evening without address, the Celtics easily dismissed the Wizards. On the side of San Antonio, we continue to surprise and win especially, with a second victory in a row which means that the men of Gregg Popovich are on the podium of the Western Conference.
They are accompanied by another winner on Sunday evening: the Suns, who now have the same record as Portland (5-1). Devin Booker celebrated his 26th birthday by winning against the Rockets.

Boston–Washington: 112-94
It was a night without for Bradley Beal. The back of the Wizards was crazy clumsy, missing his first 11 attempts to shoot! It was therefore necessary to wait for the third quarter before seeing him score.
Obviously, with a Beal at 4/16 in shooting, plus the other players who weren’t much sharper, against such a collectively efficient Celtic machine (29 assists out of 36 baskets scored), Washington could not exist. There was already a 24-point difference in the first half and the 2022 finalists had a very quiet evening.
Wolves continue to skate. Faced with Spurs deprived of Jeremy Sochan, Devin Vassell and Josh Richardson, Rudy Gobert (9 points, 12 rebounds) and his band were dominated in the first period, facing the outside address of the Texans.
Minnesota, which was dominated on the rebound, is even 19 points behind after the break. A 14-2 to start the last act gives hope, but again, Keldon Johnson and Doug McDermott hit at 3-pts. Second victory in a row for the troops of Gregg Popovich.
So close, so far the Rockets. For his 26th birthday, Devin Booker (30 points) launches the Suns with 21 points scored in the first period. The rear is assisted by Jock Landale, author of 16 points before the break. Houston is logically dominated, but not knocked out.
The Rockets remain threatening and at the end of the third quarter, they even equalize. Except that two technical fouls, for Kevin Porter Jr. and Garrison Mathews, break the momentum of the Texans, then the Suns return several award-winning shots to take shelter. Fourth straight win for the Suns.
