Stats & Highlights | Rockets drop Cavaliers, Thunder surprise Mavericks | NBA
February 3, 2022
For a first home victory in almost two months, the Rockets hit hard by disposing of the Cavaliers. This is the third straight away loss for Cleveland.
The Pacers confirm their irregularity because after beating the Clippers, they fall at home against the weak Magic. Finally, another surprise, on paper, the Thunder managed to iNFLict a second defeat in a row on the Mavericks, in overtime and with a more decisive Lu Dort than Luka Doncic.
Philadelphia–Washington Boston–Charlotte New York–Memphis Sacramento–Brooklyn Utah–Denver LA Lakers–Portland
Indiana–Orlando: 118-119
Even after losing Isaiah Jackson, shot in the ankle, after thirty seconds, the Pacers will dominate the Magic for three quarters. They are 17 points clear after the break, before Orlando went 8-0 up to close.
Rick Carlisle’s men failed to stop the Magic, which equalized early in the last quarter. In the last minutes, Gary Harris chained two award-winning baskets to equalize at 108 everywhere. In the process, Cole Anthony steals a ball and scores on free throws. A last 3-pts from Franz Wagner validates the success of the Floridians.

Houston-Cleveland: 115-104
Finally a home win for the Rockets! For that, Houston continually held off the Cavaliers in the second half. The Texans had made the difference in the second quarter and after the break, JB Bickerstaff’s players will try to come back several times. Each time, Christian Wood and his teammates will have the answer.
A 7-0 in the third quarter to go from 6 to 13 points ahead. Later, Kevin Love and Evan Mobley net the baskets, Houston responds with a 4-0. Finally, three minutes from the end, Jarrett Allen and Mobley close Cleveland to three points. Wood scores five points in a row, Kevin Porter Jr. does the same and Houston passes a fatal 10-0.

Dallas – Oklahoma City: 114-120 (after overtime)
Luka Doncic compiled 40 points and 10 assists, but in the “money time”, he fell on stronger than him. The Slovenian and his teammates managed to come back in the last minutes, when they were 12 points behind and did not score a single point for five minutes in the last quarter.
Except that in overtime, Lu Dort was sparkling by scoring 14 points in a row! The guard scored 14 of his team’s 17 points in those five minutes where the Texans were rather clumsy. It’s a second straight loss for Dallas.
