Stats & Highlights | Luka Doncic ruthless for Rick Carlisle, the Celtics carried by their All-Stars | NBA
January 30, 2022
No more Kristaps Porzingis, no problem for Luka Doncic and Dallas. The first went out because of his knee, but the second was excellent in depriving Rick Carlisle, his former coach, of a victory for his return to Texas.
The Celtics continue the roller coaster with a victory against the Pelicans and big performances from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Philadelphia–Sacramento Memphis–Washington Miami–Toronto Golden State–Brooklyn
Dallas–Indiana: 132-105
For his return to Dallas, Rick Carlisle could not do anything against Luka Doncic. The Slovenian (30 points, 12 assists) was omnipresent at the start of the game, in scoring and passing, and the Pacers were quickly drowned defensively.
Even if Kristaps Porzingis, embarrassed by his knee, left his teammates, Reggie Bullock assisted Luka Doncic well in the second quarter, with 14 points at 5/5 to shoot in this act. The evening was quiet for Jason Kidd and Luka Doncic, the latter having played only two short minutes in the last quarter.

New Orleans–Boston: 97-107
The day after a defeat in Atlanta, where they had not shone, Jayson Tatum (38 points) and Jaylen Brown (31) reacted well and confirmed the irregularity of Boston. Well helped by very clumsy Pelicans in the first half, everyone put on a show. So much so that at the break, the two players had scored 38 points, against 34 for New Orleans!
There was almost a 20-point gap and the match seemed over, since Robert Williams and Marcus Smart were also on a good night. But with an eye-catching Jose Alvarado, the Celtics had to flex their muscles to pull through. The Jay’s definitely drive the point home in the last two minutes, each with a winning shot.
