Stats & Highlights | It’s still hovering for the Nuggets, the Cavs and the Hawks rebound | NBA
February 27, 2022
The Nuggets are in good shape. They snatched in the “money time”, against Sacramento, a fifth victory in a row. They now have the same record as the Mavericks, who sit in fifth place in the West.
For the Hawks and Cavaliers, it was about bouncing back from a loss. Trae Young and his gang had no trouble getting past Toronto when Cleveland took advantage of tired Wizards to make the difference late in the game.
Detroit–Boston Miami–San Antonio Chicago–Memphis Milwaukee–Brooklyn
Atlanta–Toronto: 127-100
In the first half, each team had its highlights. Atlanta got off to a better start, Toronto responded with a 13-0. Then the Hawks went 18-0 to regain control.
In the second half, a brilliant Trae Young (41 points, 11 assists) and his band continue to accelerate, with a 16-0. The Raptors are on the ropes. The latter are totally dominated in this third quarter and Nate McMillan’s players fly away to an easy victory.

Cleveland–Washington: 92-86
Did the Wizards run out of juice after their double overtime game the day before? It’s possible, because for three quarters, everything was fine. Kyle Kuzma was in good shape again and the Cavaliers were down (Darius Garland, Rajon Rondo and Caris LeVert absent).
So that six minutes from time, Washington had a nine-point lead. And there, everything fell apart. Cleveland goes 12-0 and the Wizards don’t score for five long minutes. Kyle Kuzma stops the bleeding, but he and his teammates still miss their last four shots of the game.

Denver–Sacramento: 115-110
Dominated in the first half, the Sacramento team found the resources to move ahead in the third quarter. But the Nuggets go 18-1 in minutes, straddling the last two quarters. The Kings respond with a 10-0 to regain control.
For seven minutes, the two teams are in a duel, each takes the advantage and then loses it. In the last thirty seconds, Monte Morris hits at 3-pts and kills the Kings. Domantas Sabonis misses a layup in stride, and Nikola Jokic, still in triple-double, ensures free throws.
