Stats & Highlights | End of an era for Kings, relief for Suns

42 successes and the assurance of finishing the regular season with more than 50% wins. This is the record of the Kings now, after their victory in Brooklyn, and it is the first time for the franchise since the 2005/2006 season, 17 years!

For the Suns, this win over Orlando ends a three-game losing streak. In addition, it takes the Magic even further away from the play-in in the East.

Detroit–Denver
Toronto–Oklahoma City
Milwaukee–Indiana

Brooklyn–Sacramento: 96-101

After playing and winning at the buzzer almost the day before in Chicago, the Kings were to continue in Brooklyn. For once, they made their defense speak, with a remarkable performance. The Nets were starved of ammunition, with only three offensive rebounds (no second chance points) and two points scored on the counterattack, five seconds from the end…

The game was hung until the end of the second quarter, where Sacramento went 13-0 to conclude the half. The Nets react in the third quarter with a 10-0, but Domantas Sabonis and the Kings are solid and hold their lead until the end.

Phoenix-Orlando: 116-113

For different reasons, both teams needed to win. It all happened in the last quarter and with one man in particular: Josh Okogie. Before that, Orlando had come back from a 12-point deficit to equalize, six minutes from time.

Then, Okogie scores an important award-winning basket to repel the Magic precisely. The last seconds are punctuated by free throws and Orlando finally has the last shot. Paolo Banchero tries his luck, but Okogie, again him, rejects his attempt to keep the precious victory for Phoenix.
