Stats & Highlights | Bucks will have home-court advantage, Nets a little closer to playoffs
April 6, 2023
The Nets almost have their playoff ticket in their hands. With their victory against the Pistons, they have 1.5 more successes than Miami. Another victory (the next game is against Orlando) or a loss for the Heat and it will be official. No calculation to do for the neighbor, because New York, which beat Indiana, already has its ticket.
Finally, against a Chicago team that will not move from tenth place in the Eastern Conference, and despite the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks won. They will have home advantage for the entire playoffs.
Boston–Toronto Atlanta–Washington New Orleans–Memphis Dallas–Sacramento LA Clippers–LA Lakers
Detroit–Brooklyn: 108-123
The Nets could have folded the game in the first quarter, with 47 points scored! Clumsy, Spencer Dinwiddie distributed with 10 assists in this first act. But the sequel is less good: Brooklyn misses a lot of 3-point shots and the Pistons end up coming back.
Thanks to RJ Hampton especially, with his award-winning baskets and 18 points in the third quarter. The gap is only six points, but the Nets can get away with offensive rebounds and a good Mikal Bridges in the last quarter.

Indiana–New York: 129-138
As the Knicks presented a B team, without Julius Randle or Jalen Brunson, the young talents were able to show themselves. Despite going 17-0 in the first quarter, New York will always have Indiana on their heels.
Until the end, since in the third quarter, the Knicks pass an 8-0, but the Pacers answer with a 7-0. Then the two teams exchange baskets in the last quarter. It’s 120 all over when Obi Toppin goes 7-0 with two baskets, plus a prize-winning shot from Quentin Grimes. The Knicks finally stand out and win.

Milwaukee–Chicago: 105-92
Even without Giannis Antetokounmpo or Khris Middleton, touched in the knee at the start of the game, the Bucks were to win the victory necessary to ensure the best record in the Eastern Conference (and the league), therefore the advantage of the field for the playoffs.
The Bulls were ten points ahead in the third quarter when the game tipped. Mike Budenholzer takes a time-out and after, Milwaukee goes up a notch with a 15-0. The Bucks took control of the game and Chicago must bow with only 31 points scored in the last twenty minutes.
