Spurs secure Julian Champagnie's short-term future

Julian Champagnie did not yet know if he would stay with the Spurs for the 2024/25 season, since his salary for the next fiscal year, three million dollars, was not guaranteed.

But that's not the case, announces HoopsHypesince the Texan franchise decided to guarantee his salary, and therefore keep him in the group. For his second season in the league, Julian Champagnie started 59 times and played 74 matches alongside Victor Wembanyama and company. The player then averaged 6.8 points.

The same stress every summer

As a reminder, the winger arrived in Texas in 2022/23 after starting his career with the Sixers. He shone to finish that season, with 20 points on average over the last five games, in April 2023.

After this good news, it must be emphasized that, nevertheless, his last two years of contract – he is tied to the franchise until 2027 – are not yet guaranteed. The Spurs will still have to make a decision next summer.
