Spurs extend Zach Collins for two years

Three days before their first match of the regular season, the Spurs have decided to re-sign Zach Collins for $35 million over two years, indicates ESPN. That is until 2026.

A great reward for the soon-to-be 26-year-old (11.6 points and 6.4 rebounds in 2022/23), who will be associated with Victor Wembanyama in the racket of San Antonio this season. We recall that the 10th choice of the 2017 Draft was absent for almost two years, between 2020 and 2022, due to multiple ankle injuries.

Recruited by the Spurs in the summer of 2021 after his departure from the Blazers, Zach Collins has since regained his sensations and is coming off the best exercise of his career.

With this one-year extension of the end of his contract, the Texan leaders are in any case locking in the future of another key element of their reconstruction, after Devin Vassell a few days earlier.
