After 2014, 2016 and 2019, Mike Conley once again received the NBA Sportsmanship award, also called the Joe Dumars trophy, which designates the player who has displayed the best sportsmanship and the best state of mind at the end of each season. He collected 2,739 points to finish just ahead of Boban Marjanovic (2,665 points) and Darius Garland (2,239 points), and thus succeeds Patty Mills and Jrue Holiday, elected the last two years.
The veteran Wolves leader is the only player in history to have been named four times since the distinction was created in 1996. He is now ahead of Grant Hill, distinguished in 2005, 2008 and 2010.
The performance is all the more notable because Mike Conley had to change environment during the season, leaving Utah where he had been playing for three years to finish the year in Minnesota.
