Sorry, Ricky Rubio misses the Cavaliers’ restart

Eager to take care of your mental health, Ricky Rubio announced in a press release published at the beginning of August that he was putting his career on hold. Unsurprisingly, three weeks before the opening of the new season, Cleveland.com reports that the Spaniard will not be present this Monday for the “media day” of the Riderssynonymous with opening of the training camp.

Unlike James Harden, the soon-to-be 33-year-old leader is nevertheless excused by his managers, who had already publicly supported him two months ago. For now, it remains unclear as to his return to the Cavs squad…

Replacing Darius Garland at the lead, Ricky Rubio is coming off the worst season of his career in statistical terms: 5.2 points, 3.5 assists and 2.1 rebounds, at 34% on the shoot (including 26% on 3-points) and 80% on the throws. He will earn $6.1 million in 2023/24 and is tied to the Ohio franchise until the summer of 2025.
