Skal Labissiere soon to be cut

Signed by the Kings, Skal Labissiere will not participate in training camp with his former team. ESPN announces that the Haitian center will be cut very soon, and his signing was a way for the Kings to have his rights for their G-League team, the Stockton Kings. Which means that for the moment, he will not get a “two-way contract”.

Aged 27, Skal Labissiere has not played in the NBA since December 2019, and last year, he played in the G-League under the colors of the Mexico City Capitanes. He averaged 8.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks.

A few days ago, the Bucks did the same thing with Alex Antetokoumpo, the youngest of Giannis’ siblings. Signed by the Bucks, he was cut immediately, but he will play for the Wisconsin Herd, their G-League franchise.

Two-way contract : designed to create a new bridge between the NBA and the G-League, this type of contract allows each team to secure the services of two to three additional players, to develop them mainly in their affiliated development league franchise but also up to 50 games in the NBA.
