A time on the street during his youth, Trevelin Queen had achieved his dream, the NBA, by shining in the G-League.
With the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, last year, he had thus signed a full card in the antechamber of the Great League, becoming champion, MVP of the Finals, MVP of the regular season and member of the best defensive team.
Except that getting a jump seat in the NBA is extremely complicated, and the 25-year-old back had only signed a partially guaranteed two-year contract with the Sixers.
Keith Pompey, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, even announces that Trevelin Queen was ultimately not retained by the Pennsylvania club. He walks away with a check for $330,000 but will not be on the roster that will begin the regular season. The fault in particular with the arrival of Montrezl Harrell at the Sixers.
With the former best sixth man of the year, Philadelphia now has 13 guaranteed contracts, and Isaiah Joe obviously had the preference of Doc Rivers for the last available spot on the back lines.
Another problem for Trevelin Queen: with his contract partially guaranteed, he cannot recover one of the team’s two-way contracts, currently promised to Charlie Brown Jr. and Julian Champagnie.
I told the #Sixers have parted ways with Trevelin Queen. The roster now stands at 19 players
