Without surprise, Victor Oladipo has activated its “player option” of 9.4 million dollars, and will therefore still be under contract with Miami next season. Seriously injured in the knee during the first round of the playoffs against Milwaukee, the question of activating, or not, his last year of contract was obvious, since it was his only option to still be under an NBA contract.
Barring a miracle, the back of the Heat should miss a good part of the 2023/24 season. Yet another blow for him, who has a very heavy history with serious injuries since the 2018/19 season. Before this series of big glitches, the former Draft No. 2 was one of the league’s rising stars, with an All-Star selection and the title of best progression of the year in 2018.
