Fourteen years after his departure from Manresa, and twelve years after his two-month stint at Real Madrid during the “lockout”, Serge Ibaka is heading towards a return to Europe. According to journalist Marc Mundethe would have signed a one-year contract with the Bayern Munich.
The opportunity for the 33-year-old to possibly relaunch himself with one of the best German clubs, involved in the Euroleague, while he remains in two complicated final seasons on an individual level with the Clippers then with the Bucks ( 6.2 points, 4.2 rebounds). The fault, in particular, is his physical problems.
In Germany, Serge Ibaka would play under the orders of a certain Pablo Laso, whom he briefly worked with in Madrid.
He would find in the Munich squad well-known names from the NBA and FIBA circuits, such as Sylvain Francisco, Andreas Obst, Carsen Edwards, Leandro Bolmaro, Isaac Bonga and even Freddie Gillepsie.
Crowned NBA champion with the Raptors in 2019, the one who revealed himself to the Thunder in the first half of the 2010s displays 12.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.9 blocks on career average in the Big League.
