Sekou Doumbouya at the relaunch… in Boulogne-Levallois?

News from Sekou Doumbouyaformer hope of French basketball, that our colleagues from BeBasket And The Team say in discussions and about to sign with Boulogne-Levalloisreigning finalist but currently last in Betclic Élite after the departures of Victor Wembanyama and Bilal Coulibaly for the NBA.

Without a club since the start of this 2023/24 season, since he had not convinced Monaco or the Greeks of Maroussi to keep him, the winger, only 23 years old, has already been through the French championship. It was in 2018/19, near Limoges, and just before flying to the United States.

First tested?

Selected in 15th position in the 2019 Draft, Sekou Doumbouya never managed to meet the expectations placed on him with the Pistons (5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds on average in less than 100 games). Briefly with the Lakers in 2021/22, he then left for the G-League, for the Delaware Blue Coats (affiliated with the Sixers), without shining more than that.

For now, the Mets 92 would however be cautious towards the native of Conakry, whose professionalism has often been discussed in recent years. To recruit him, the Ile-de-France leaders would therefore like to obtain guarantees from him and a one-month trial could first be offered to him.
