Season over for Patrick Williams

Bad news for Patrick Williams and the Bullssince the franchise announced that his winger was forced to end his season prematurely.

The cause: this bone edema in his left foot, which caused him to miss the last month of competition and which now requires him to have surgery, because the progression of his stress fracture cannot be controlled. Hence this lack of prospect of a return for 2023/24.

End of contract this summer

At 22 years old, Patrick Williams is therefore not approaching his imminent end of contract in the best possible way, he who will have the possibility of testing the market by being protected this summer, after having failed to obtain an extension from the leaders of Chicago. A place where he wishes to continue his career in any case.

Under pressure this season, the 4th choice of the 2020 Draft averaged 10.0 points and 3.9 rebounds, at 40% from 3-point range. Spending most of his time coming off the bench, for 27 minutes per game under the orders of Billy Donovan.
