New (major) blow for Steven Adams and the Grizzlies. In a press releasethe franchise indicated that its New Zealand pivot was going to have surgery on the posterior cruciate ligament of his right knee and, consequently, he will be out for the entire 2023/24 season!
Already without Ja Morant for the first 25 games of the season and Brandon Clarke until February, Memphis will therefore once again have to do without his 30-year-old interior (8.6 points, 11.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 average against in 2022/23), which he sorely missed at the end of last season.
Steven Adams, who had barely returned to competition after his problems with his… right knee, will likely be replaced by Jaren Jackson Jr. at position 5.
