Difficult start to career for Kobe Bufkin. Weighed down by various physical problems during his rookie season, he hoped to get started for good during his sophomore campaign, except that his shoulder was playing tricks on him…
Victim of a partial dislocation of his right shoulder in Summer League, the 15th choice in the 2023 Draft suffered the same problem in training, just before the season began. And if he still returned to the field, playing around ten matches between November and December, the problem was clearly not resolved.
Accordingly, “after ongoing assessment and additional medical advice”the former Michigan player (1m93, 21 years old) accepted to have an operationand therefore to put an end to his season.
Logically, he should be able to be back for the 2025/26 season, while the club has activated his option on the next campaign of his rookie contract. Kobe Bufkin can therefore prepare for his return with peace of mind even if, after two first campaigns rotten by injuries, he will absolutely have to avoid the infirmary in the future.
