Sean Elliott seduced by the personality of Victor Wembanyama

JJ Redick wasn’t the only one impressed with the maturity of Victor Wembanyama. As the former shooting guard confided when he released his podcast with “Wemby”, Sean Elliott also said he was amazed by the maturity of the Frenchman after his Friday evening dinner with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili for his first meeting with the new Spurs star.

His main character trait? An Olympian calm which is reminiscent of that of another legend of San Antonio.

“It reminded me of how Tim Duncan came along. He asked all the right questions.”he slipped to the San Antonio Express News.

At the relational level, Victor Wembanyama would have done flawlessly, reinforcing the general image that the Spurs and their fans could have of him, with a well-made head in a body that is at least as good. If San Antonio has done its best to welcome him as it should, the tricolor has also fully invested in this new stage of his life.

What is not normal is normal for him

“His genuine curiosity will be very helpful to all of us, honestly. He has a real desire in him to make a positive impact, and I think that will push us all to be better.”, also said Peter J. Holt, franchise owner.

Beyond his maturity for a 19-year-old boy, it is his humility that would have made a strong impression on the trio of “old” Spurs.

“He shows a lot of innocence, but he is aware of what awaits him. He is really up to it”continued Sean Eliott.

America has been making eyes at him for months, the whole basketball planet has been watching his every move, but despite all the solicitations from the public and the media for months, Victor Wembanyama has so far been able to remain the same, and did not deviate from its objective. Already a first victory. “That’s his goal. For him, it’s all normal. Of course, this is not normal. But for him, it’s normal.concluded his agent Bouna Ndiaye.
