Scottie Barnes breaks his hand trying to counter!

Bad news for Raptors in their already perilous race for the play-in, since Scottie Barnes its fractured left hand (and more precisely the third metacarpal bone) during their defeat against the Warriors.

The 22-year-old All-Star was injured at the end of the first half, trying to block a shot from Jonathan Kuminga. Leaving a few seconds later and returning directly to the locker room looking disappointed, the Rookie of the Year 2022 screamed in pain from the moment his hand came into contact with the hoop.

Now deprived of Scottie Barnes for an indefinite period, his best player in great form recently and author of a season averaging 19.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 interceptions, Toronto therefore sees its chances of play-in diminish drastically, since the Canadian franchise is already four and a half games behind Atlanta, 10th in the East.

It remains to be seen who will take the All-Star winger's place for the rest of the season in Darko Rajakovic's major five, between Bruce Brown, Kelly Olynyk, Ochai Agbaji and Gradey Dick…
