Scoot Henderson was not seen on the floor during the Blazers' last two back-to-back games in Houston. Thursday, the day before the first clash between the two teams, the sophomore leader was the victim of a “slight” traffic accident according to information from our colleague Sean Highkin. The accident took place in Houston when Scoot Henderson was in the backseat of a carpool trip when the vehicle he was in was rear-ended.
The damage caused was minor and the player escaped without major injuries. After being sidelined with a quadriceps contusion on Friday, he was ruled out Saturday night with back pain. However, his condition would not be worrying and his status should not go beyond the traditional “day-by-day” with a view to his return.
More fear than harm therefore for the man who was presented as the “challenger” of Victor Wembanyama during the 2023 Draft, and who nevertheless struggles to measure the NBA level. In his absence, Portland was able to redeem itself last night by winning 104-98 after losing heavily the day before (116-88).
