Sasha Vezenkov reportedly reaches agreement with Olympiakos

Will leave, will not leave… For the 3rd time in a few days, Eurohoops announces that Sasha Vezenkov will return to Europe. According to our colleagues, always well informed about the news of the Bulgarian, the new Raptors winger would have reached an agreement with the leaders of Olympiakos. Except that he is under contract with Toronto since his transfer from the Kings, and he must therefore negotiate a ” buy-out ” to regain his freedom.

It's not a foregone conclusion because the Raptors have explained that they are counting on him, and that they are waiting for him, in uniform, for training camp. One thing is certain, if Vezenkov is to return to Europe, it will be to Olympiakos, a team with which he was elected Euroleague MVP before arriving in Sacramento.

Last weekend, it was Evan Fournier's name that was circulating on the Olympiakos side. Perhaps the Frenchman is the Greek club's plan B if Vezenkov fails to break his contract with the Raptors.

Buy-out : amicable termination of contract. The player is released from his contract with severance pay that can reach the entire remainder of his contract. The player then becomes a free agent, and can sign elsewhere.
