Sandro Mamukelashvili will be a good teammate with Victor Wembanyama in 2023/24. After making a good impression at the end of last season under the colors of the Spurs, the American-Georgian interior signed a one-year contract for two million dollars.
Drafted in 2021 to the Bucks, where he ultimately played little, Sandro Mamukelashvili was able to seize his chance in San Antonio where he was signed in early March after being cut by Milwaukee.
In a real rotation role, he was able to bring by his generosity, his sense of rebound and his vision of the game. He had notably marked the spirits by scoring 11 points in the last quarter to bring down the Nuggets of Nikola Jokic, future NBA champions, in the regular season.
It will still be up to him to prove himself next season since he will be a “free agent” again in the summer of 2024.
