RJ Hampton out for several weeks? | NBA

While Joel Embiid cut the Magic into pieces with 50 points in just 27 minutes, RJ Hampton had a (new) complicated evening with 2 points scored at 1/6 on the shoot.

Worse still, the back of Orlando injured his left knee in the last quarter. The subsequent MRI revealed that he suffered from a sprained ligament and a bone contusion, announces the franchise.

No return date has been given by the Magic, but according to the Orlando Sentinel, the former Denver will be out between two and four weeks.

A blow for the player, who is not exploding at all this season and is still struggling to show his potential. His arrival in Florida, after the exchange with Aaron Gordon, in March 2021 had given rise to promises since he ended the 2020/21 financial year with 11.2 points and 5 rebounds on average under the colors of Orlando.

But for his second season in the league, the former phenomenon among high school students is running at only 7.2 points per game off the bench, and remains terribly clumsy, with 38% shooting success.
