Raptors and Spurs trade Goran Dragic and Thaddeus Young | NBA

The two players were among those who would undoubtedly move this Thursday evening. The Athletic confirms Goran Dragic and Thaddeus Young are traded.

The Slovenian playmaker leaves Canada, with a first round of Draft 2022 (protected 1-14 then 1-13 in 2023) for San Antonio and the interior goes the opposite way, in the company of Drew Eubanks and a second round of Draft 2022. While the Raptors had their eye on Jakob Poeltl, it was finally Thaddeus Young who arrived.

The 33-year-old veteran had expressed the wish to join an ambitious formation and he arrives with his experience with a team in form, sixth in the Eastern Conference and which remains on seven victories in a row.

According to ESPN, San Antonio is not going to retain Goran Dragic. Once cut, the former Heat leader will obviously interest the Mavericks, where his name circulates a lot, but also the Bucks, the Bulls and the Clippers.
