Progress is Anthony Edwards' only motivation

Nicknamed “Baby Goat” by some Team USA players, Anthony Edwards is one of the new faces of the NBA, ready to take up the torch from LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. He's not the only one who could become THE face of the NBA, but the All-Star guard thinks he has a little something extra.

“I want to keep the essentials in mind” he answers to Wall Street Journal. “A lot of people get to a certain level and lose sight of why they became famous or made money. I just want to continue to get better at basketball.”

Do your teammates listen to you?

To do this, he needs leadership, and at just 23, he wants to establish himself as a boss. Not just through his stats and talent, but also through his behavior.

“I think the most important thing is to get everyone to listen. A lot of people hear you, but are they listening to you?” he asks. “Are we all on the same page? You have to know when to say things and when not to say them. When they come to the gym, they see me working in training, they know I’m giving it my all, and on both ends of the court. That’s what gets their attention when I speak.”
