While for the first time in its history Texas is blank this year since the Mavericks, Spurs and Rockets are already on vacation, it is the opposite situation for California. For the first time in its history, the most populous of American states made a 100% since the Lakers joined the Clippers, Warriors and Kings tonight.
This is the first time since the Kings moved to Sacramento in 1985 that California has placed its four teams in the playoffs, or half of the teams in the final table. Which also allows, at the same time with the qualification of the Suns, the Pacific division to make a full card with five teams out of five in the playoffs!
It is also a rare feat since it is only the 3rd time in 35 years that a division has placed all of its teams in the playoffs. The first time was in 2006 with the Central Division, then imitated in 2015 by the Southwest Division.
