There was little doubt in the West about the identity of the Player of the Week. With an average of 33.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists (at 70% shooting skill!), Zion Williamson was thus sacred.
A just reward for the interior of the Pelicans, who led his team to the top of his conference (18-8) and to a record of three wins in three games. He was preferred to Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic and Rudy Gobert.
In the East, the choice was a little less obvious, but the NBA finally opted for Joel Embiidbehind the return to form of the Sixers with its 43.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists on average (64% in shots, 67% in 3-pts and 89% in throws), since three games (two wins) .
Now in the Top 6 of its conference (14-12), Philly therefore regains color collectively and its All-Star interior obviously has a lot to do with it, with its scoring cards (39, 38 then 53 points!). Hence this triumph in front of Julius Randle, DeMar DeRozan, Franz Wagner, Jarrett Allen and Buddy Hield.
