Players of the month: Nikola Jokic and Jayson Tatum in the spotlight

Reigning Finals MVP, Nikola Jokic raid for the seventh time one of the two first trophies of Players of the month, for the October/November period. The second landing for the third time in the hands of Jayson Tatum (rather than those of Joel Embiid, the reigning regular season MVP).

On the one hand, Nikola Jokic averaged 29.0 points, 13.2 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 18 games with the Nuggets (12-6). Doing so at 57% shooting (including 32% at 3-points) and 80% on free throws.

On the other hand, Jayson Tatum stood out with 27.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.1 steals on average in 18 games with the Celtics (14-4). All at 49% shooting (including 36% at 3-points) and 81% on free throws.

If Nikola Jokic is the current best rebounder in the league, equaling the best passing average of his career and being the player who has the most points, rebounds and assists since the start of the season, Jayson Tatum is in his side the best player on the best team in the NBA. Posting his best career shooting percentage.
