After awarding his trophies to “Rookies of the month”the NBA continued with those of Players of the month.
Quite logically, it is Jayson Tatum (Celtics) who win in the Eastern Conference, while Devin Booker (Suns) receives this honor in the West.
Currently the favorite in our 2023 MVP race, Jayson Tatum was preferred to Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Donovan Mitchell, DeMar DeRozan, Tyrese Haliburton, OG Anunoby, Myles Turner or even Franz Wagner. But, given his record with Boston (league-leading 18-4) and his personal stats (31.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 against average), it was hard not to decorate the C’s winger, in the form of his life.
For his part, Devin Booker had to deal with stiff competition from Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, Ja Morant, De’Aaron Fox, Anthony Davis, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons. But, despite the absence of Chris Paul, the back of Phoenix was able to lead his team to the top of his conference (15-6), while posting very nice numbers: 29.0 points (career-high), 5.3 rebounds, 5.8 passes and 1.1 interceptions on average!
