To remedy this, GM Nico Harrison therefore preferred to bet on Klay Thompsonrather than continuing with Derrick Jones Jr. And it's a decision that seems to rather excite his future teammate, PJ Washington.
“I think he will bring a lot to our team,” says former Hornets player. “A lot of leadership. Obviously, he’s been at the top for a while. So I think it’s great to have him on our team and bring his knowledge to the table as well.”
One more threat in attack
For PJ Washington, the outside threat represented by Klay Thompson will help free up the entire team.
“It's going to be really tough (for other teams). You can't pass up on him. He's a guy that makes his shots, and obviously you've got Luka and Kyrie doing what they do. It can only help me and the guys around me be better playing with guys like that.”believes the Mavs power forward. “They're going to draw all the attention, and like I said, it's going to give everybody open shots.”
Even though he's coming off one of his worst seasons in his career, Klay Thompson is still averaging a respectable 17.9 points on 38.7% from 3-point range. And the former Warriors player is still a formidable shooter.
“Obviously he's one of the best 3-point shooters of all time.”concludes PJ Washington. So I'm just going to ask him for advice on a bunch of different things, and I think that's going to help the development in my career, and obviously my teammates' careers as well.”
