Pistons GM heckled by spectator

It was not only on the field that the tone rose on Saturday evening, during the meeting between Detroit and Dallas, marked by Luka Doncic's sixth triple-double in a row with at least 30 points scored. ESPN indeed reported that an incident had occurred during the meeting, involving a fan and the Pistons GM Troy Weaver.

If Troy Weaver made no comment, it was a witness close to the scene, Pistons season ticket holder Jeff Calloway, who recounted the incident, which occurred in two parts.

“The man involved in the incident, who was wearing a Red Wings t-shirt, approached and pointed at the scoreboard earlier in the game. Troy Weaver just shrugged and said 'OK,' and the guy went back to his seat.”, Jeff Calloway explained. “Then when Jalen Duren got kicked out, the guy came back and told him he was bad at his job. Then Troy Weaver told the fan he had to leave and that's when security moved in.”

The fan in question was then escorted out of the area where Troy Weaver was located. The end of the altercation was filmed and ended up on social media, with the fan explaining that the GM “threatened him”…

Isolated act or reflection of the growing discontent of local fans? We can still recall Troy Weaver's record since his promotion to the position of GM of the Pistons almost four years ago: 70 victories, 229 defeats. Even though the team has looked a little more competitive for several weeks, this season has been punctuated by a sad record with 28 consecutive losses. And the Pistons are last, with 10 wins for 53 losses.
