Pistons get Paul Reed

The Pistons have found the successor to James Wiseman, who left for the Pacers, and it is Paul Reed. Cut by the Sixers to make room for Caleb Martin, Reed will therefore not have waited too long before knowing his new team, since The Athletic announces that he will be joining Tobias Harris in Detroit. This will be under the orders of JB Bickerstaff, Monty Williams' successor.

At 25, the former second-round draft pick is a rebounding specialist and a real wild card off the bench. His versatility will be a plus alongside Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart, and he proved last season that he could be a starter, starting 24 games.

Former G-League MVP, Reed takes advantage of this arrival to get his contract back: $15.7 million for the next two seasons. As for the Pistons, they still have $5 million left to sign a good free agent who is still available. After Reed's arrival, they have 13 players under contract, out of a possible 15.
