Patty Mills is no longer a playerAtlanta. The Australian point guard was cut by the Hawks ad Shams Charania. Out of the rotation for three weeks, and not given responsibility by Quin Snyder since the start of the season, he has only played 19 games this season, for 10.6 minutes per game.
At 35 years old, the former Blazers, Spurs and Nets player can still provide services with his offensive quality in short sequences, he who was still shooting 38.2% at 3-points in Georgia this season.
This movement allows Patty Mills to claim a place in a new squad, while the deadline for a cut player to be recruited and aligned in the playoffs is set for tomorrow, March 1.
Shams Charania also specifies that this decision by the Hawks was taken in order to free up a place in their roster at Trent Forrestholder of a “two-way contract” since the start of the season (2 points, 1.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists on average over 20 games).
