Patrick Williams to extend contract with Bulls

We announced it to the Thunder, but ultimately Patrick Williams will stay five more years with the Bulls. Fourth choice in the 2020 Draft, he would have accepted, according to The Athletica five-year, $90 million offer. It's a pretty balanced and fair deal for a player who has been stagnant since he arrived in the NBA with almost identical stats each season: around 10 points and 4 rebounds per game. His 41% from 3-point range is interesting, and he could become a real threat as a shifty power forward.

With this new contract, Williams is considered an executive by his managers even if he had lost his starting place this season. With this contract extension, he could regain his place in the starting five alongside Nikola Vucevic in the Bulls racket. It remains to be seen who will support them as starters.

At point guard, Josh Giddey has just arrived, but DeMar DeRozan is a free agent, and Zach LaVine is being offered everywhere by his management. Uncertainties that could allow Coby White to move up a gear, and establish himself in the starting five in a rejuvenated five.
